The Nepal climbing team has announced that the second annual ice climbing festival will take place in Manang next month.
The 10-day event will be organized from 1 February in Humde in the district of Manang, which is located at an altitude of 3,200 m, together with the Visit Nepal 2020 secretariat.
By organizing a press meet on 5th January, the organizers reported that the event will promote winter adventure sports in Nepal.
According to the organizers, the adventure seekers will be guided by guides from the Association of the International Federation of Alpine Guides who will direct interactive and educational climbing clinics to satisfy every level of ability and guarantee safety and accessible participation throughout the festival.
The event will have more opportunities for participants to learn skiing and archery.
Organizers expect thousands of adventure seekers from around the world to participate in this event. National and international participants can register their names for the event by January 15th.

The Ice Climbing Festival is organized by the Nepal Mountaineering Association and co-organized by the Nepal Climbing Team in collaboration with the Visit Nepal 2020 secretariat. It is promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and the Tourism Board. of Nepal. According to the organizers, the National Association of Alpine Guides of Nepal and the Association of Mountaineering Instructors of Nepal will provide technical assistance for the event.
The main objective of the festival is to present Nepal as an important ice climbing center in the world, to raise awareness of the possibilities of ice climbing in Nepal and to encourage people to participate in adventure sports.
Similarly, the festival also aims to develop ice climbing as part of adventure games, help promote research and promote tourism in Manang, establish a destination for ice climbing in Manang and promote Manang as Una sports adventure destination.
Last year, 20 selected participants from across the country and other foreign countries attended the event.
